Teens, Individuals, Family Therapy Student Intern

If you have found this page in the hopes that you might find support - for yourself, your teen child, or your family you have come to the right place. I believe that every individual is capable of great things. So often we are raised to believe that the world we live in is a rational one of cause and effect. But then, over and over our experience of it often conflicts with these expectations. We become disappointed, disheartened, even feel at times, ‘broken’ by it all. Things often don’t happen the way we wish or expect them to and we perhaps arrive at a season of great challenge. For some people this can occur quite young, and for others it visits us later in life. When this happens it is common to fall into a type of rut - for many it becomes depression. For others, struggle manifests in anxiety and stress that seems insurmountable.

What I have learned in my work with people throughout my forty-something years of life is that we all have resources and strengths, some of which are hidden from view. Too often the stories of our lives in our own minds are written by the self-critical mind. And yet, freedom lives here too, if we seek it out. We work together as a team to open up to self-love and possibility. I work within a systemic lens which respects that culturally we are all different and have different dreams and expectations of ourselves. I work with all genders, races, and sexual identities.. with a loving invitation; I invite you to reach out and work together to help you feel whole again, hopeful, and understood, perhaps for the first time. The well of understanding is rich and deep. Life is the assignment.

As a practitioner work together is always without judgment, and with unconditional positive regard for you, holding the value of mutual respect. You are the expert in your life. You matter.
